3rd edition of the H2 VET Forum at Spa Francorchamps

H2 VET Forum at Spa Francorchamps

Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium – 9 May 2026. – From 8 to 9 May 2026, the third edition of the Hydrogen VET Forum took place at the legendary Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, during the FIA World Endurance Championship.

A select group of VET teachers and experts has gathered at the heart of the FIA World Endurance Championship to bridge the gap between cutting-edge racing technology and tomorrow’s classrooms.

We were honored to host deep-dive sessions with global pioneers who are redefining mobility:

  • Vamia showcased how gamified learning and the Trireme project are revolutionizing automotive teaching.
  • Toyota Racing & Hyundai shared their roadmaps for sustainable powertrains and the broader transition toward a global hydrogen society.
  • Ariane Group looked at the decarbonization of air transport.
  • Ensosp explained the essential protocols for the hydrogen era.

Across every sector, from cars to aerospace, the buzz was all about liquid hydrogen as the key to a zero-emission future.

The afternoon was spent in the Hydrogen Village, where educators got hands-on with the latest tech and safety protocols. It was a masterclass in collaboration, as we swapped best practices with industry giants like Michelin, TotalEnergies, FORVIA, Ensosp, and MissionH24. Seeing how motorsport is directly shaping hydrogen safety protocols was a lightbulb moment for many.

A surprise lap around the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in the Toyota Racing Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus was the perfect ending for this Forum, a unique intersection of industry giants all working together to equip our educators with the knowledge they need to train a world-class green workforce.

We are leaving Spa with new peers, fresh perspectives, and a clear vision of the hydrogen-ready workforce we are building together.

The Hydrogen VET forum in Spa is an initiative launched by Automobile Club de l’Ouest, FIA World Endurance Championship, Mission H24, and its partners: Automotive Skills Alliance, Green Skills for Hydrogen, and Hydrogen Europe Research.
