Green Skills for Hydrogen Lab Series

We are pleased to share with you the Green Skills for Hydrogen Lab Series, a video series inviting you into the laboratories where electrolysis cells and fuel cells are fabricated using state-of-the-art processes, testing, and development.

In this first release, you can watch the following videos: 

    • Mixing a slurry 
    • Tape casting 
    • Screen Printing…

    … which were made with the objective of making the core technologies of the green hydrogen economy tangible, giving you a close-up look at what is being done and how it’s being done. Later on, more videos of Alkaline and PEM cells will be released.

    In this video you see steps in the process of “mixing a slurry”: A technique used in a wide variety of chemical work, in this case to make slurry for layers in SOFC/SOEC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell/Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell).

    In this video you see steps in the process of “tape casting”: A technique used to make layers for SOFC/SOEC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell/Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell), such as support layers and functional layers.

    In this video you see steps in the process of “screen printing”: A technique used to make layers for SOFC/SOEC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell/Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell), for example electrode layers. 

    The production of the lab series was supported by the EU through the project “Green Skills for Hydrogen” and produced by researchers at the Technical University of Denmark, DTU.
